H.E. (Harry Everett) Barnard (1874-1946), a chemist, moved to Indianapolis from N.H. in 1905. He was an inspector for the Indiana State Board of Health and later the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Barnard became director of the American Chemical Society and was a founding member of the Indiana section of the organization. Marion Harvie Barnard (1875-ca. 1969) arrived in the United States from England in the 1890s. He graduated from Brown University (R.I.) in 1901, after which she married H.E. B...
